Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 10-vehicle crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway in Hamilton left two parties with minor injuries.

OPP say this took place in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 at the Linc.

Officers say the sequence of events is still not confirmed but it is believed that at around 11 p.m. a Mercedes Sedan was travelling eastbound on Highway 403 when it lost control on the wet roads and struck the centre median.

Investigators say the Mercedes Sedan was then struck by a SUV,  leading to several more vehicles all making contact at that location.

Detectives say two parties were transported to hospital with minor injuries and seven vehicles required towing.

The area of the crash was closed from 11:30 p.m. Sunday to 1:30 a.m. on Monday.
