Man wanted after Bank of Montreal robbery downtown Burlington

Halton police are investigating a bank robbery at a downtown Burlington Bank of Montreal branch.

Officers say the robbery happened at the Brant Street location on Thursday evening at around 5:40 p.m.

Investigators have determined that a lone male entered the bank, jumped the counter and grabbed rolls of coins and cash before fleeing through a rear door and getting into a dark sedan.

The man is described as white, approximately 25 years old with short, light coloured or brown hair, very yellow “bad” teeth and wearing a grey hoodie.

Authorities say BMO staff and a customer were in the branch at the time.

There were no reported weapons or injuries in the incident.
