Hazel Market in Thorold closes after vehicle smashes into building

The Hazel Market and Blossom Bakery in Thorold will be temporarily closed following a hit-and-run that occurred over the weekend.

The market on Albert Street West posted on social media Sunday that a vehicle had crashed through the front of the fire hall, causing significant damage to the building and storefront.

They say no one was inside at the time, and no one was reported to have been hurt.

Market staff say they are assessing the damage and are working to get everything in order to get doors to reopen soon.

Items can still be obtained at Blossom Bakery’s Jordan farm location at 2323 Honsberger Ave.
