St. Catharines gets $3.6M boost from Telus for network upgrades

The City of St. Catharines is receiving $3.6 million from Telus as part of the company’s newly updated $24 billion multi-year investment in Ontario.

These funds will boost productivity and support the local and broader Canadian economy.

This includes continuing targeted wireline and customer-driven investments to strengthen network reliability for residents, businesses and organizations as well as backing Ontario innovation.

It also further supports Telus Internet, Mobility, Tech and Health for Good programs. These programs have helped bridge digital divides for 263,000 people across the province.

This investment will support significant enhancements to the province’s network infrastructure and operations through 2030.

This will expand its wireless and PureFibre connectivity, strengthening Canadian-controlled AI infrastructure and encouraging healthier communities through digital inclusion, education and healthcare initiatives.
