VIDEO: Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada won’t rush to retaliate against President Donald Trump’s latest threat of 50 per cent tariffs before they’re actually imposed. Speaking after a meeting with the country’s premiers in Prince Edward Island, Carney called the proposed tariffs both a pressure tactic and an opportunity to continue negotiating. For that reason, he says responding too early would be “counterproductive.”
