A sentencing hearing for repeat sex offender Daniel Senecal will take place this morning in St. Catharines.

Senecal pleaded guilty in late June to the violent sexual and physical assault of a three-year-old Welland girl in August of last year.

He admitted to six charges including break-and-enter, aggravated sexual assault on a person under 16 and assault by choking.
