Nearly $158K worth of cocaine recovered in Brantford drug bust

Brantford police have charged a man and seized about $157,910 worth of cocaine following a drug trafficking investigation.

On Friday, investigators executed a drug search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle and a Lombard Street home in the city’s Henderson Survey neighbourhood.

Officers say they recovered about 1,579 grams of cocaine, several cellphones, drug packaging material, a digital scale and Canadian currency.

Investigators say they charged a 52-year-old local man with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

The accused was held for bail.
