As Toronto hosts its final FIFA World Cup match on Thursday, Metrolinx is urging fans to plan their trip home to avoid missing the last Lakeshore West trains.
On June 10, GO train service on the Lakeshore West line was increased to provide frequent 15-minute service throughout most of the day.
Metrolinx says before and after Toronto match times, the Lakeshore West line will operate up to six trains per hour between Exhibition GO and Union Station.
The transit agency says GO bus service to Niagara Falls will be increased during the tournament period, with additional weekday and weekend trips on Route 12 to support regional travel.
Regular service on Route 12 returns on July 20.
For those enjoying post-match celebrations, the last Lakeshore West train leaves Union Station at 12:47 a.m.
Regular service resumes on Monday.
