Sunday they made history by making it to the knock out stage versus South Africa, they’re best showing yet at this tournament. This is a historical moment for Canada. The men’s national soccer team has qualified three times for the World Cup, in 1986, 2022 and now in 2026. Their opponent, South Africa, last met them in an international friendly in 2007 where South Africa took that contest 2-0.
