Hamilton announced as Porter Airlines’ destination from Montreal

Hamilton is one of 11 Canadian cities on Porter Airlines’ list of destinations from a new airport on Montreal’s south shore.

Starting June 22 the privately funded Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET) will see 14 flights a week to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Four inaugural routes begin on June 15 with St. John’s, N.L., Toronto-Pearson, Toronto-City and Vancouver as destinations from MET.

The company projects passenger traffic at the airport will hit one million in its first year, climbing to four million annually at full capacity.
