The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate a weekend house fire in Welland.

The blaze started in a home on Beatrice Street around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Welland’s fire department says it was quickly extinguished but the “circumstance led them to notifying the fire marshal.”

There is no word yet on what the circumstances are or if anyone was injured.
