OPP investigate collision that kills three in Norwich, Ont. Friday

Norfolk and Oxford Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a crash that claimed the lives of three people in Norwich, Ont. on Friday.

Officers say that at around 4 p.m. they responded to a crash on Mall Road between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line.

Upon arrival, police say they discovered that an SUV carrying three people had collided with a pickup truck.

Investigators say both passengers of the SUV died in a local hospital while the driver was brought to a London, Ont. hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

The two passengers were 77 and 60-years-old and of Princeton, Ont. and the driver was 75-years-old, according to authorities.

Police say the pickup truck was being driven by a 27-year-old who was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
