Ottawa is expected to announce it’s launching formal consultations on the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) in the coming days.

In a statement from Minister Dominic LeBlanc’s office, they say Canada will engage with industry leaders around the country, as well as with provinces, territories and Indigenous partners ahead of the upcoming CUSMA review.

The statement continues, “Our government will be launching public consultations in the near future. This exercise, which will build on consultations undertaken in 2024, will enable us to gather valuable feedback from Canadians.”

This move comes shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration kicked off its own review.
