Residents displaced after second-floor apartment fire in Welland
A number of Welland residents were forced out of their homes Thursday evening due to a second-floor fire in an apartment building.
Welland Fire and Emergency Services were called out around 11:40 p.m. to 185 Burgar St. for the blaze that started in an apartment unit.
Crews reported that the smoke was visible from a front window.
The fire — which was contained to the unit — was brought under control in 45 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
