Hamilton announces transit route, schedule changes and slight fare increase

The City of Hamilton has released a new fall transit schedule with more buses, extended service hours and a slight fare increase.

The route and schedule changes start Aug. 31 and price changes begin on Sept. 1 when a $0.25 increase in cash fare and $0.05 increase in PRESTO fares will go into effect.

There will be changes coming to bus stops on routes 18 Waterdown Mountaineer, 33 Sanatorium and 43 Stone Church, and a new weekend service has been announced for Route 52 Dundas Local.
