OPP lay drug trafficking charges after traffic stop in Simcoe Monday

The Haldimand-Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police have charged three people with drug trafficking in a Simcoe traffic stop on Monday.

Police say at around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, they were conducting a traffic stop on Luscombe Drive in Simcoe.

Officers say during an interaction with three occupants of a vehicle, one of the passengers was taken into custody.

Following a search, police say they seized cocaine, crack cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, officers arrested and charged 40-year-old Jason Crombez, 46-year-old Melissa Martin and 50-year-old Toni Feere, all of Norfolk County, with several drug trafficking related charges.

Police say Crombez was held in custody before a court appearance while the other two occupants of the car were released with a scheduled court date.
