Canadian border agents report seizing over one tonne of cocaine since January

So far this year, more than a tonne of cocaine has been seized at southern Ontario border crossings, all of which came from the United States.
The Canadian Border Services Agency says in the first seven months of 2025, they’ve seized 1.37 metric tonnes of cocaine.
They say the drugs have an estimated value of the cocaine seized is around $171.4 million.
The ports of entry for the cocaine included the Ambassador Bridge and Windsor-Detroit tunnel, and the Blue Water, Queenston, Peace, and Rainbow Bridges.
