Jeep driver pinned under tire after crash into fence in St. Catharines

A driver is in hospital after crashing into a fence and getting trapped underneath their tire in St. Catharines Wednesday evening.
It happened around 6 p.m. in the area of Welland Avenue and Cushman Road.
Niagara police say the driver was ejected from their grey Jeep — which had no roof or doors — after losing control while trying to make a sudden turn.
The Jeep then struck a fence and the driver was pinned underneath a tire.
Emergency crews removed the driver and brought them to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
