Two dead after Phelps Road crash, say Brantford police

Brantford police say two people have died following a collision Friday night.

Officers say they were called to the area of Phelps Road between Mount Pleasant Road and Cockshutt Road around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered an SUV had collided with a sedan. The two occupants of the sedan — a 19-year-old man and 21-year-old man — were pronounced dead by paramedics. 

The driver and passenger of the SUV were extracted from their vehicle and were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Brantford police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
