Ontario Provincial Police are on scene investigating what officers are calling a “devastating crash” that sent three people to hospital on Highway 24 between Ellis Road and Elliott Road in Brant.

A spokesperson for OPP says the crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. Friday, after a pickup truck collided with another vehicle at an intersection.

According to police, their initial investigation revealed that the driver of one of the vehicles failed to stop at a stop sign.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, as were the driver and passenger of the other car.

Officers say the roadway should be reopened Friday evening.
