Niagara police have arrested a woman who failed to remain at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Lincoln in late-June that left two people with life-threatening injuries.

Simran Khoja, 22, of Nepean was driving in the wrong lane on North Service Road which forced a motorcyclist to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.

The motorcycle then collided with another car and the male driver of the bike and a female passenger — both in their forties — suffered life-threatening injuries. The unnamed individuals remain in hospital.

The police’s collision reconstruction unit — along with detectives — identified a suspect in the Ottawa area and worked with police there to arrest Khoja.

Kjoha is now back in the Niagara region and was charged with two counts each of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at the scene of an accident (causing bodily harm).

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Niagara police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009089.
