School’s out for summer for many Hamilton students

It’s the last day of school for many students in the Hamilton area and the beginning of summer break.

School wraps for children in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board today and for students enrolled in Catholic schools tomorrow.

Students who attend MonAvenir schools within the French-language Catholic board and the French public board CS Viamonde finish today.

In Halton region, students in both the Catholic and public school boards end their school year tomorrow and will be let out early.

There was a big focus this year on restricting cell phone use in schools, classroom size and the need for more teachers.

Drivers are reminded to be alert and watch for kids playing in residential areas and on their bicycles during the summer months.
