The province says 360 of the positive cases were in unvaccinated individuals, 56 were in partially vaccinated and 88 in fully vaccinated.
There are currently 113 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 76 on ventilators.
Of those in hospital, 88 are unvaccinated, 12 are partially vaccinated and 12 are fully vaccinated.
The province says 49,167 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered Wednesday for a total of more than 20 million.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least three are in an outbreak including The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
