Stephen Colbert show returns to studio with full audience next month

CBS says late-night host Stephen Colbert’s show will have a full studio audience again next month.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” will return to the Ed Sullivan Theater on June 14 and will welcome a full audience.

Audience members must prove they have gotten a vaccine to enter, though masks will be optional.

Since COVID-19 shut down things last March, Colbert has done 205 shows without an audience, most of them at a small studio at the Sullivan Theater offices in New York City.

Colbert says he looks forward to again being able to do a show with an audience he can “smell and touch.”
