New information is raising more questions about the origin of the coronavirus.

A new report suggest several researchers at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill and needed hospital care in November 2019.

That is weeks before China said the virus first appeared there. China told the World Health Organization that the first COVID patient was recorded in Wuhan on Dec. 8, 2019.

It’s not clear if these researchers were actually sick with coronavirus.

The director of the Wuhan National Biosafety Lab, which is part of the Wuhan Institute of Virology calls the report a “complete lie.”
