Shift at Canada Post Mississauga facility shut down due to COVID-19

Peel Public Health has issued an order to shut down a shift at the Canada Post Gateway West facility in Mississauga after a COVID-19 outbreak.

Around 80 workers and managers have been ordered to stay home and self-isolate for ten days.

Anyone expecting an international mail item via Canada Post is told to expect delays. Part of the Mississauga plant has shut down after 12 staff tested positive for COVID-19 & 80 are currently self isolating. Employees here say the rapid testing makes them feel safe. @CHCHNews

Canada Post says they continue to provide on-site rapid COVID-19 testing and paid leave provisions are in place for any employees who have to self-isolate.
