Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement Friday afternoon.
Ford is expected to announce new province-wide measures aimed at controlling surging COVID-19 cases.
This comes the same day the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table put out new modelling, suggesting a six-week stay-at-home order and more vaccinations is the only way to flatten the COVID-19 curve.

On Friday, Ontario set another record for daily COVID-19 cases, reporting 4,812 cases.
The announcement was initially scheduled for 2:30 p.m. but has since been pushed back to 4:00 p.m.
