Three people from our region have been charged in connection with a protest in Mississauga last month.
Peel police say a group of over 100 people were gathered at City Centre Dr. and Duke of York Blvd. in Mississauga on Mar. 20.
They say attendees were not wearing masks and were not complying with the Reopening Ontario Act (ROA) regarding gatherings.
A 30-year-old man from Lincoln, a 43-year-old from Burlington and a 35-year-old man from Oakville were fined $880 for ROA violations.
The same Oakville man was issued another fine in connection with another protest where 20-30 people gathered at Matheson Blvd. and Hurontario St. on Mar. 23.
Police say they are still trying to identify additional participants and fines are pending.
