Bubble gum theft

A 22-year old Hamilton man landed in a sticky situation after police charged him with two counts of theft under $5000 for allegedly stealing more than $1500 worth of gum.

Police say security cameras captured the man stealing the gum from a store on Barton Street, just west of Kenilworth Avenue on two separate days last week.

Police arrested the man yesterday. The gum has not been recovered.
