It’s been over one year since the new synthetic drug OxyNeo has been available as an alternative to OxyContin. The new pill is more difficult for addicts to tamper with and abuse, but as Lauran Sabourin reports, in the Niagara region opiate addicts are turning to heroin to get an easier and cheaper high.
