Fire destroys Flamborough home

A morning fire in Flambourough has destroyed a family’s home.

More than 50 firefighters and emergency workers worked to put out the fire on 71 Concession Rd. 11 E. off of Highway 6 that broke just before 9 a.m. Saturday.

No one was injured. Three adults escaped the home and are now staying with relatives. Damage to the house is estimated to be $400,000.

The cause of the fire is now being investigated.
