Fatal crash near Port Dover

A woman from Simcoe has been killed and another person seriously hurt after a crash early Wednesday morning near Port Dover.

Just after eight a car and a cement truck collided at the intersection of Blueline Road and Highway 6. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch with the truck on top of the car. OPP say the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. No names have been released yet. The area remains closed while police investigate.
