The trial for the 2011 murder of a Hamilton shopkeeper continued Tuesday.

The court has heard how police found a fingerprint belonging to the accused, Patrick Smith, near the cash register. Smith is on trial for first degree murder in the case of Elham Dashti, who was found brutally beaten in her store in may of 2011. Smith has admitted to killing the 31 year old woman, but has pleaded not guilty to the charges, because he says he didn’t do it intentionally.
