Tweets get students suspended

A group of students in Brampton, accused of tweeting inappropriate comments about their teachers, have been punished.

Two have been suspended for seven days, three were given two-day suspensions and two others were asked to write letters of apology and returned to class Thursday.

Their families were informed of the details Thursday morning.

Some of the tweets were sexual in nature.

The school was told about the tweets by other students.
