Ontario teen suicides

Suicide accounted for nearly a quarter of the deaths in Ontario teens between the ages of sixteen to eighteen in 2011.

That’s according to the province’s Chief Coroner who released a new report on child death rates.

Suicide was also responsible for 15% of deaths in children between ten and fifteen years of age.

In total, 231 children died last year; mainly from accidents, including drowning, car crashes, and unsafe sleeping environments.
