Man on air mattress disappears on Lake Erie

The Canadian Coast Guard is looking for a man seen relaxing on a floating air mattress about 600 feet from the shore of Lake Erie’s Elco Beach in Port Colborne.


Around 8:30pm on Wednesday, the man seemed to disappear from the sight of onlookers.

Two men rode out on their Sea-Doo to try and find the man, but didn’t find him or the air mattress.

Police say the man is still unaccounted for.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
