Security concerns bench Hockeyfest

It was going to be the first major concert festival to be held at Brant Park in Brantford – but now the Grand River Conservation Authority has pulled the plug on Hockeyfest.

The move comes after police withdrew their support over security concerns. Melissa Raftis tells us fans are unimpressed with what they’re calling a poorly planned event.
