Burlington brush fire

Burlington firefighters were called to put out a brush fire Monday afternoon.

The fire was near Mountainside Park on Mount Forest Drive in a wooded area.

As they arrived — firefighters saw the winds spreading the fire quickly — so they requested additional crews.

It took about 20 minutes to knock down the blaze — using brooms and hoses.

Halton police then arrested two teen boys who may have been responsible for setting the fire.

Hamilton also had several grass and brush fire calls Monday afternoon.
