OPP cruiser involved in crash

An unmarked police car was involved in a four-car crash in Brampton.

The OPP cruiser may have been trying to pull over another vehicle near Hurontario Street and Steeles Avenue around noon on Sunday, when the crash happened.

One driver was arrested for impaired driving, but police say they are waiting to see if the province’s Special Investigations Unit will take over the case before they release any information.

One person was taken to hospital, but is expected to recover.

The officer was not injured, nor were the four children who were among the passengers in the cars involved.
