A 32-year-old man from Welland died yesterday from injuries sustained from a vehicle collision with a culvert in Niagara Falls about three weeks ago.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to the Hamilton General Hospital after the collision, in which he was ejected from his vehicle.

He had lost control of his Dodge pick-up truck, putting it in the ditch where it collided with a culvert near Biggar and Crowland Roads.

The collision remains under investigation by the Niagara Regional Police, but it has been determined that speed and seat belt use was a factor in the severity of the collision.
