Man arrested after three men stabbed

Niagara Regional Police arrested a man after three men were found with stab wounds at a St. Catherines residence Friday afternoon.

Around 4:30 p.m. the police received reports that a male had been stabbed at a residence on Queenston Street. Officers and detectives arrived at the scene and found three men had been stabbed during an altercation. None of the injuries are life threatening.

Police identified Mitchell Mao, 28, of St. Catherines as the suspect, and he was later arrested at a Vine Street address.

Mao will appear in a St. Catherines bail court on March 24, 2012. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, theft under $5, 000 and breach of probation.
