Kingston Murder Trial Continues


Shocking testimony at a trial in Kingston into the deaths of three teenage sisters and their father’s ex-wife.
The Crown says a Montreal man was recorded days after the deaths saying, “there’s nothing more valuable than our honour”.
Court has heard that Mohammad Shafia, his wife and adult son could not bear the so-called “treachery” of their three teenaged daughters having boyfriends.
The crown alleges they drowned the girls and the father’s first wife by pushing a car into the Rideau Canal in June 2009, staging it to look like an accident.
Shafia, his wife and son are each charged with four counts of first-degree murder.
