Helping dispose of body nets woman jail time

A 32 year old Hamilton woman will spend the next two years in jail, for being an accessory to murder.

Tara Carisa Baker pled guilty for her involvement in the murder of Devon Anthony Gayle, 22, last December.

Her late boyfriend, Robert Howard Clause, was accused of beating Gayle and stabbing him to death inside her Hamilton home. She admitted to helping dispose of Gayle’s body and cleaning up the murder scene.

Gayle’s body was later found in the Grand River in Brantford.

Clause was found dead in his Brantford jail cell in March.
