2 Stoney Creek residents charged in shooting at St. Catharines nightclub

Police have made two additional arrests in connection with a shooting at a St. Catharines nightclub that left six people wounded.

Four men and two women were rushed to hospital after being shot at Karma nightclub on St. Paul St. around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2019.

Niagara police, with the assistance of the Hamilton Police Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a home in Stoney Creek Thursday morning.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Jayson Hypolite and 29-year-old Rhiannon Blackie and charged the pair with obstruct peace officer. Hypolite also faces a charge of accessory after the fact.

Police previously arrested three others in connection with the shooting.

Saeed Savalanpour, 33, and Jamar Stephens, 29, are facing several firearm-related charges including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Kaitlan Miller, 26, also faces charges including possession of a prohibited firearm.
