Man killed, another injured in industrial accident in Hamilton

One man has died and another remains in hospital following an industrial accident in Hamilton.

Emergency crews responded to a confined space call at 500 Eastport Blvd. shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Rescuers pulled two men from the tank of a tanker truck. Both men were transported to hospital where one of the men later died. The other is in stable condition.

Hamilton police say they will be assisting the Hamilton Coroner’s Office and Employment and Social Development Canada with the investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact police or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
