Zellers opens in Hudson’s Bay stores in Burlington, St. Catharines today

Zellers have finally opened its doors within Hudson’s Bay locations in Burlington and St. Catharines.

The Canadian brand opens nine locations across Ontario on Thursday, including at the Burlington Mall and Pen Centre Shopping Plaza.

The popular discount department store plans to open 25 stores in total across Ontario and Alberta as well as launching a new website.

The Ontario and Alberta Zellers within Hudson’s Bay locations are:

• Scarborough Town Centre, Scarborough
• Pen Centre Shopping Plaza, St. Catharines
• Cambridge Centre, Cambridge

• St. Laurent Centre, Ottawa
• Cataraqui Town Centre, Kingston
• Alberta
• Kingsway Garden Mall, Edmonton
• Medicine Hat Mall, Medicine Hat

Zellers closed its doors in 2013 after serving Canadian shoppers for 82 years.

While the new Zellers stores, within the existing Hudson’s Bay stores, does not accommodate a restaurant, the retail chain will have food trucks at some locations.
