WATCH: CUPE announcement of education workers’ ratification vote results at 10 a.m.

First Published:

VIDEO: Laura Walton, educational assistant and president of CUPE-OSBCU will be joined by Christine Couture and Michelle Campbell to release ratification vote results at 10 a.m.

After nearly two weeks of voting, the union representing 55-thousand Ontario education support workers will announce whether its members have ratified a tentative deal struck with the provincial government last month.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees is slated to announce the results in Toronto Monday morning.

Workers, including early childhood educators, E-A’s and custodians, walked off the job for two days last month after the government passed — and then repealed — legislation that imposed a contract on them and banned them from striking.
