VIDEO: Canada and dozens of other countries are facing an additional tariff of between 10 and 12.5 per cent. It’s the Trump administration’s latest effort to maintain a baseline levy on many of America’s trading partners, citing a failure by these countries to address the alleged use of forced labour in their supply chains. Sustainability, environment and regulatory law expert Conor Chell says Canada has measures in place to prevent that, including new legislation introduced prior to the investigation that inspired these tariffs.
