President Trump shows no signs of easing off his mandate to deploy federal forces in major American cities.

Following assignments in Los Angeles and Washington DC, Trump maintains that Chicago is next on his list, claiming the boots on the ground are to combat crime rates in those cities.

U.S. state and local officials, many of whom are top Democrats, have sharply opposed troop presence.

Trump also says he’s also considering a National Guard presence in New Orleans as well.

He says the potential deployment is receiving support form the Louisiana governor.
