School bus driver killed in Highway 401 crash near London

A school bus driver is dead after a single vehicle crash on Highway 401 near London on Sunday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police say the single-vehicle collision happened in the westbound lanes around 9:40 a.m.
The 52-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say 42 high school students were on board at the time. Four were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The OPP says the cause of the crash and the driver’s death remain under investigation.

The students were heading to Point Pelee National Park on a class outing.
